I like a guy, who was obsessed with a friend of mine?

On of my best guy friends who i am now starting to have feelings for used to be obsessed with one of my good friends, although the two of them never dated, he always went on and on about how she is the perfect girl for him. about a two months ago he kissed her and she claims she was so shocked. She told him about a week later that she does not like him and only ONLY wants to be friends. About two weeks after that happened, a few of my other friends were talking to this boy about who he should like next and i guess my name was the only one that came up, he has been flirting with me ever since but im scared he will never like me as much as my friend, any advice what to do , how to act, or what to do. I think im starting to really like him and although we havent kissed yet, i have a feeling he is going to soon, what do you guys think i should do!?
